SUMMARY
The BMS Technician Asst. will work under the supervision of the Service Manager and together with the BMS Technician. The assistant assumes responsibility for traveling to on-site locations and assisting the BMS Tech in repairing various types of Burner Management Systems. The assistant must be able to work on elevated equipment such as man lifts and bucket trucks, making repairs and serving as a spotter to the technician while harnessed at high altitudes above ground. The BMS Asst. will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communications with fellow team members and necessary persons to promote safe operations. These duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting issues on Flares, VCU’s and Heaters.
• Assist in making repairs on BMS as needed.
• Must be able to work in elevated equipment such as manlifts and bucket trucks.
• Communicate daily with co-workers and management as needed to ensure proper repair techniques are followed.
• Completes work in a neat and safe manner.
• Seeks growth in expanding knowledge and skills through training and education.
• Presents self in clean, neat, professional manner and wears company uniform (if provided) in its entirety.
• Communicates questions and concerns to management.
• Engages in the company’s vision and seeks to implement processes and establish goals with the company’s vision in mind.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to work and complete assignments with minimum supervision
• Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communication with team members to complete various duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to organize excellently.
• Ability to apply sound judgement and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, operations, and duties.
• Ability to apply sound judgement and understanding when dealing with any problem.
• Ability to perform basic math skills including, but not limited to addition, subtraction multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to repeatedly walk, sit, stand, climb, twist/turn, push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, and reach above shoulder.
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm movements.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic Oil/Gas experience is a plus.
• Previous Field Inspection experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.57 - $23.69 per hour
