Supply/Cart Room Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Takes inventories and assists in compiling stock records.

OVERVIEW

  • The evaluation is to assure individual performance, departmental goals and organizational goals are aligned. It is designed to support communication between the manager and the employee. Employee perception of their own performance is very important. To maximize the benefit of this process, both the manager and the employee participate in the evaluation process.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Below are those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the position’s purpose and objectives. These are critical or fundamental to the performance of the position. They are the major functions for which the person in the position is held accountable. Following are the essential functions of the position, along with the corresponding performance standards.
    • Under direct supervision of Manager, stocks and rotates in neat and orderly manner by keeping cart supply are filled on a daily basis.
    • Fills and delivers requisitioned orders to appropriate departments and refers related problems to Manager or designee as evidenced by:

      • Inventories and fills complete compliments of exchange carts within the eight hour shift as observed by the Manager
      • Reports stock outs and other cart related issues to the Manager.
    • Fills and delivers exchange carts to appropriate departments and maintains them as evidenced by:
      • Requisitions must be filled and delivered to appropriate area within 48 hours of its receipt as observed by the Manager or designee.
      • Problems encountered within this requisition process must be reported to the Manager or designee at the time that they are discovered; i.e.,
    • Assists in maintaining daily and periodic inventories by completing assigned cycle counts and inventories as directed by the Manager.
    • Maintains storage area in orderly manner as directed by completing scheduled cleaning assignments on a daily basis as directed or rotated by the Manager
    • Performs related clerical duties.
      • Coordinates exchange cart data between warehouse and Hospital.
      • Performs work of equal skill and responsibility as directed. May also perform work of a higher level in preparation for increased responsibility and may be requested to do work of a lesser responsibility when work load of the department so requires.
