We are actively seeking a Driller at Continental Drilling & Service, a Synergen company, located in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The Driller is responsible for daily operations on the drill rig, managing the drilling crew, and ensuring all scopes of drilling projects are met safely and on time. The Driller will be expected to perform minor repairs and maintenance to the drill rig on a daily basis. Specific details of the job duties are described as:

• Organize and assist in the mobilization and setup of equipment
• Rig up drilling equipment and plan out any third party vendors required
• Operate drill rig as instructed and identify water bearing sands
• Manage crew of drilling personnel
• Collect drill cutting samples incrementally and store appropriately
• Communicate with manager on status changes or issues faced
• Adjust drilling fluid properties as required based on hole conditions
• Communicate with customers or inspectors on site in a manor that reflects the companys core values
• Become familiar with all related rules and regulations
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on drilling equipment

A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Basic understanding of water well drilling
• Strong organizational skills
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
• Work environment includes working outdoors in elements/weather
