**URGENT HIRE**
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Specialty: Occupational Health (preferred), Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Room or Orthopedic Care
Compensation: Salary plus quarterly bonuses
Setting: Occupational Health Clinic
Location: Mount Vernon, AL. Small clinic consisting of 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Medical Assistant, & 1 Medical Receptionist
Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Provide diagnosis and treatment of occupational injuries and/or illnesses, conduct pre-placement/post-offer physicals
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) required examinations
- Management of treatment plan and return to work for work related injuries including transitional work opportunities
- Review confidential medical documents to address work status issues
- Medical screening for the health effects of occupational health hazards
- Responds to urgent, non-work-related medical conditions that occur in the workplace.
Experience & Skills
- Experience in disability, leave and absence management administration (minimum of 5 years' experience) as a clinical leader (strongly preferred)
- Occupational health management experience as an employer is strongly preferred
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to provide formal presentations to clients on a regular basis
- Strong computer skills, including using EMR systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and basic data analysis and interpretation
- Experience in clinical claim auditing and clinical quality measurement.
- Effective teaching skills and experience in providing training
- Experience working as a member of an integrated team
Qualifications
- Must hold a medical license from the State of Alabama
- Board certification in Occupational Health, preferred.
- 5+ years of experience
- Valid DEA
- Masters Degree in Science of Nursing
- Active and current CPR and BLS certificates
- At least 5 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care, urgent care, occupational health, or emergency department setting required
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 8am - 5pm
- On call for 1 week, approximately every 6-7 weeks. May be required to go to clients site, while on call
