Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

• Overall management of softscape sourcing, pricing, and purchasing 
  
• Client communication as necessary
• Ensuring the highest quality of plant material and tagging plant material as necessary
• Travelling to different nursery locations as necessary
  
• Assist with information for job tracking and reporting of materials - maintaining or falling under budgets for estimated material pricing vs actual when a job is complete
• Developing and managing procurement strategies/processes that are inventive and cost-effective for Oceanview Landscapes.
• Keep Logistics Division apprised of pending orders that are available for delivery or pick-up.
  
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Develop and/or review any existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
• Sourcing, building and maintaining long-term relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Approving purchase orders and confirming delivery of goods and services with the Logistics Division.
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Updating and managing the inventory tracking systems for plant supply stock and goods associated.
• Assist in producing procurement reports as required.
• Effectively and efficiently work with Design team to generate pricing guides and estimates to enhance customer wait-time on estimates.
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• ***Minimum (3) years of local experience with plant material procurement***
• Must have excellent organizational skills
  
• General knowledge and proper care practices of trees/shrubs/perennials
• Horticultural degree a plus
• The ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a high energy environment
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written
• Must be confident, motivated, respectful, a team player and have a positive attitude
