25k sign on, 10 k relocation Job Overview:The Mammo Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients service on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient s needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit s/area/department s policies and procedures. Is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer or hospital hotline. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMust provide radiographic/Sonographic examination of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.Maintain patient records and files.Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.Pursue continuing education.Transfer patient to and from radiology.In absence of supervisor, assume responsibility of department.Rotate shifts as required.Perform ancillary duties as requested by supervisor.Follow policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration.Assist in general hygiene of department and self.Should be able to work well in situations of stress.Must be willing to able to take call and report to work within 30 minutes.Must maintain competency in licensed modality.Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.Competent in teleradiology transmission.Assist in invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.Competent in sterile technique.Competent in OR procedures and C-Arm operation.Alasks Fluoroscopy certified or willing to obtain within 90 days.MAMMOGRAPHY:Can perform the following: Breast needle localization. Specimen radiography. Quality Control. Screening. Diagnostic. Stereotactic breast biopsy. Complete 5 CEU's Mammography credits per year documented per ACR/FDA requirements. Performs 100 mammograms per year documented per ACR/FDA requirements. SECONDARY FUNCTIONSAttends department/organizational meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.Qualifications:Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required Current ARDMS in Mammography Experience Required Able to perform all diagnostic exams as related to assigned modality. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Technologist Level AssignmentTech I ARDMS in 1 modality - Mammo Computer Skills:EHRRISPACS Other Qualifications: BLS Certification
