Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at Chris Auffenberg Ford in Washington, MO. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the body of vehicles, including but not limited to, straightening, welding, and painting. This is a full-time, individual contributor role that offers a competitive base salary plus commission based on performance. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for the auto industry.

Responsibilities:

- Repair and maintain vehicle bodies using various techniques, such as straightening, welding, painting, and more
- Inspect vehicles to assess damages and determine the necessary repairs
- Remove and replace damaged body parts, such as fenders, doors, and bumpers
- Perform body work, which includes sanding, filling, and priming vehicles
- Paint vehicles following established procedures and using the appropriate tools and equipment
- Communicate with customers and insurance companies to provide estimates and updates on repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to established safety procedures and guidelines
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and techniques

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Body Shop Technician
- ASE certification is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with good communication skills
- Knowledge of various body shop tools and equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
