Responsibilities

  • Maintains key elements of the quality system, such as the quality manual and supporting procedures to ensure compliance with applicable standards and industry practices.
  • Collects, analyzes, and oversees data entry on relevant quality performance indicators and measures.
  • Primary Quality interface with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Coordinates / Provides data packages for customer shipments and submissions.
  • Designs, schedules, and conducts quality process and product audits as appropriate to the facility.
  • Monitors and evaluates appropriateness of facility quality management plans and practices.
  • Maintains various databases in order to perform trend analysis and provides statistical reporting of trends other quality reviews, and associated activities.
  • Coordinate the development of various reports regarding performance of quality indicators and measures.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to data driven corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvements.
  • Participate in the planning, development, coordination, and presentation of specific training and educational programs as appropriate to the quality management needs of the facility.
  • Coordinates and participates in customer audits, including completing customer checklists as requested, documenting the results, issuing corrective action as required based on audit results, and following up with the customer as needed.
  • Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in a Precision Metals Machining operations and Reman Operations preferred.
  • AQS CQE or CQM/OE preferred.
  • Experienced in leading structured problem solving and failure analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or equivalent degree required. Associates Degree, High School Diploma, or Military Service Education accepted with applicable and significant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment, automotive related preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 required. Additionally IATF 16949, and Automotive OE Requirements (AIAG-FMEA, PPAP, APQP, etc.) or similar quality system requirements preferred.
  • Ability to assess current operations on an ongoing basis and implement required changes
  • Skilled in engaging and facilitating teams of stakeholders in order to capture and manage stakeholder’s expectations
  • Knowledge of research methodologies, cost/benefit analysis, and statistical process control methods
  • Good communication skills to develop relationships with engineers and professionals or technical personnel on all levels
  • Project coordination experience with division personnel, including sales and shop associates.
