We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to enhance our team—a professional adept at modifying, repairing, and optimizing production machinery. In this role, you will demonstrate expertise in electronics, executing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and collaborating with the product manager to implement modifications for improved efficiency. POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role will modify, repair, and improve existing production equipment and will assist in developing new or updated systems, equipment, components, or products.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications
  • Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to the organization’s equipment and machinery
  • Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
  • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
  • Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
  • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
  • Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various electronics
  • Performs safety checks to ensure equipment operates as intended
  • Reports potentially dangerous equipment to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue
  • Develops and maintains records related to equipment
  • Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
  • Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
  • Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.


QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • Associate’s degree in related field required
  • 4+ years related of experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mechanically inclined with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Ability to follow highly complex directions
  • Demonstrates skill in writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work
  • Displays diligence in completing tasks in a timely manner, utilizing effective time management skills
