Blue Lakes Clinic is looking for a receptionist / front desk assistant

Job description: Full-time: Monday-Friday.

Entry level applicants welcome. We will train.

Responsibilities are:

• Welcome patients by greeting, in person or on telephone.
• Schedule appointments correctly and within the established format.
• Accurately checks patients in and out.
• Ensures and maintains availability of current and past treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Accurately records the collection of patient payments.
• Turns in neat and thorough records from the day’s collections.
• Helps patients who either call or walk into the clinic who are in distress by responding to emergencies.
• Maintains HIPPA (patient privacy) standards.
• Contributes to overall team effort by excelling and accomplishing expected results.
• Records and distributes detailed and accurate messages to appropriate staff members.
• Responsible for maintaining lobby and public area. Maintain cleanliness and order.
• Assist Billing Manager with assigned tasks.

Job Types: Contract, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
