Full Charge Bookkeeper - Construction
Stable, dynamic, and rapidly growing construction contracting company has an opportunity for you to use your Full Charge Bookkeeping and generalist accounting expertise to contribute to the strategic development of this organization.
You will be responsible for processing the full cycle of accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, taxes, customer & vendor invoices, knowledge of job costing, AIA, WIP entries lien waivers and other necessary duties assigned by the owner.
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Software is required
Ability to work with Annual revenues of at least 15 million dollars
Essential Functions
· The Full Charge Bookkeeper will have complete hands-on responsibility for all accounting functions
· Waivers of Lien
· Processing of AR/AP and collections activities
· Processing payroll and payroll taxes
· Responsible for maintaining cash management systems
· Maintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations
· Bank statement reconciliations, deposits, and balancing
· Job Costing and Work in Progress reporting
· Preparation of financial reports and balance sheet
· Responsible for waivers of lien, change orders and cost types
· Ensuring human resource functions are implemented and maintained
· Other functions as directed by the owner
Essential Qualifications
· Three (3) plus years of bookkeeping with yearly revenues in excess of Fifteen (15) million dollars
· Construction Accounting is required
· Verifiable experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required
· Familiar with waivers of lien, AIA billing and bidding
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Ability to apply regulations and guidelines
· Verifiable expertise with Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel) is required
· Experience with reconciliations, deposits, balance sheet and all financial reporting
· Experience with administrative and clerical duties
· The Full Charge Bookkeeper must be a problem Solver
· Associate degree or higher is preferred
· High School Diploma is required
