ANIMAL CARETAKER

Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Animal Caretaker for our farm in Hudson, CO. The Production Specialist’s primary responsibility is caring for the hens. This person is responsible for ensuring hens have proper access to feed and water, monitoring ventilation and lighting, and keeping the layer house and its equipment clean and in good repair.

• Perform all duties and tasks related to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Perform all duties and tasks related to safety and security of buildings, equipment, tools, hens, and all company property.
• Responsible for carrying out food safety and quality duties and following the SQF polices/procedures as it relates to their job duties.
• Check water and feed lines.
• Monitor ventilation, including checking all fans and baffles.
