Job Description

Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the Quality Auditors and the Production Department in the production of quality products.

 

Essential Job Duties/Functions:

  • Managing internal audits and maintaining records of these events.
  • Conducting manufacturing process capability studies and gauge R&R analysis.
  • Supporting operations to improve process capabilities and reduce variation.
  • Establishing effective process controls and monitors.
  • Proficient in the understanding and use of SPC (statistical process control).
  • Collecting & analyzing data on scrap and rejects, etc.
  • Conducting new equipment qualifications.
  • Manage customer issues to effective resolution.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in the use of measuring equipment – micrometer, height gauges, etc.
  • Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products via the company’s New Product Implementation Team.
  • Maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
  • Following the organization's policies as well as any applicable laws while carrying out any of their duties.

  • Proven ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks/projects.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written & oral).

Requirements

 

1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

2. 5 or more years of Plastics Industry Quality Engineering experience.

3. 2 or more years of Quality Management experience.
