Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant position available in a busy and fast paced OB/GYN practice in Centreville and Reston, VA. The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming all patients, answering telephone calls, making appointments, and going over medical histories. We are willing to train the right candidate. MUST:
1 year of Medical Assistant experience
Must be certified or registered
Obstetrics and gynecology experience preferred
Experience obtaining vitals, room setup and sanitizing
Strong clinical experience including vitals, injections, assisting with OBGYN procedures
Experience assessing patients
Experience entering patient data into EMR, must be detail orientated
Strong experience educating patients
Strong charting experience

DUTIES:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Rooming patients
Obtaining vitals
Go over medical histories
Educate patients
Generating lab requests
Assisting doctors with exams and as needed
Working with EMR
Give injections, drawing labs, as needed
Answering phones and greeting patients
