Job Title: Agent / Licensed Customer Service Representative

Location: Brookings, SD

Job Description / Duties:

· Explain policy provisions to clients and assist with making policy and coverage decisions

· Collect information and documentation from clients throughout the year for reporting requirements

· Examine all insurance documents for accuracy prior to submitting to the insurance company

· Inform clients of any program changes as it pertains to their policy

· GPS Mapping – data collection, processing, assembling/printing

· General office and clerical work

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

· Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks

· Ability to notice details and be thorough and accurate when completing insurance paperwork

· Ability to maintain confidentiality

· Be honest and transparent when discussing anything with clients’ policy

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Ability to problem solve and think critically

· Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with clients

· Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor while meeting deadlines

· General office software experience (Excel, Word, etc.)

· Willingness to learn new skills related to crop insurance industry

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

· Agriculture industry experience, specifically relating to the crop insurance industry

· Precision Ag equipment experience, Ag Leader, John Deere, etc.

· GIS software experience

· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Crop Insurance License

· ATV operation experience
