In this leadership role, your mastery of crane repair and maintenance honed over 5-7+ years will be instrumental in ensuring peak operating performance. A leading, national provider for heavy equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs is seeking a Lead Crane Technician for their advancing team in Cedar Springs, GA.

Pay: $30 - $45/hr + Bonus

Shift: 8-5 no weekends

ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations while providing exceptional service. As a trusted advisor, you'll consult with customers on safety recommendations, train and mentor other technicians, and ensure all equipment and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Your technical skills and commitment to safety protocols will drive operational excellence across our field services.

  • Must be able to be on-call and provide after hour services as required.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
  • Train and mentor field technicians
  • Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generating inspection reports and repair orders.
  • Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis.
  • Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their services.
  • Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle, and assets in a safe and proper working order.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify immediate supervisor of any deficiencies.
  • Maintain supply of forms and miscellaneous materials in the company vehicle.
  • Maintain the ability to work with others in team environment.
  • Attend company provided trainings and seminars as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5-7 years of crane repair & maintenance experience required
  • Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required
  • Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights required
  • Must have basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs required
  • Must be willing to travel required
