PCB Designer (Full-time Direct-hire position) Location: Bethpage, New York 11735 area) * Hybrid work schedule (offsite/onsite) * US Citizenship Required. * Please inquire about salary and job details. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overview: Client is currently using Cadence Allegro and PADS -- they are in the process of moving from PADS to Cadence Allegro to do their PCB Design. They will be doing the new design in Cadence Allegro. Ideally, the client would like the candidate to have experience with both Cadence Allegro and PADS, but Cadence Allegro is the most important one to have, because they will be using Cadence Allegro for the new designs. Project: Communication and Radar Systems for the military. Similar previous experience working on these military systems is desirable. Job Duties New business support for Design Engineering. PCB/module conceptual design suggestions/trade-off’s for new opportunities. PCB/module concept sketches and BOM’s for proposal inclusion and hardware estimating. Electronic circuit assembly electrical physical design. Electrical hardware selection and specification. (Terminals, fuses, switches, passives, etc.) Circuit board schematic capture, placement, and routing. Ensuring PCB CAD layout rules compliance. PCB/PCA manufacturing BOM, fabrication artworks, construction/assembly drawings. Ensuring PCB and PCA design-for-manufacturability prior to release. Ensuring PCB and PCA design-for-testability prior to release. Industry specific electrical standards and methodologies. Product safety and EMI consideration during CAD layout (UL, CSA, NEBS, etc.) Standardization of electrical components and CAD libraries utilizing IPC standards. Rigid-Flex design layout experience Demonstrated experience with High-Speed and latest routing best practices. Current knowledge of ?via/HDI methodologies and best practices. Hardware manufacturing sustaining support. PCB fabricator technical support during tooling, electrical testing, and manufacture. Assembly shop technical support during procurement, tooling, manufacture, and de-bug. Associated PCB technologies - DDR3 & 4 (memory standards) Pcie (100GbE) RF with digital Digital CCA including BGA and high density routing Audio and Communication interfaces Qualifications Education Preferred: Associates in Electrical Design/Drafting or BS in Electronic Technology or related CAD training certification. Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience of doing PCB Design. Primary knowledge/utilization of Cadence Allegro is required, Siemen’s PAD’s is highly desirable ("a plus" but not required). Siemen’s Xpedition is a “plus” (but not required). Related circuit board/module/flex CAD design, electrical drafting, and PCB fabrication experience is essential. Interdisciplinary familiarities with electrical design, EMI control, safety testing, and/or assembly is desirable. Background in Valor DFM and CAM software tools is desirable. Aerospace/Defense/Military related Layout Design experience is highly desirable. Solid verbal communication and interfacing skills with technical and manufacturing personnel.
