Physician / ObGyn / Maine / Locum or Permanent / OBGYN opening in Eastern Maine - great work life balance Job

Regional hospital is hiring for a BE/BC OBGYN in Central Eastern Maine to join its dedicated team. Hospital is a 25 bed acute care serving the needs of approximately 17,000 people in a wide geographic area, bordered by New Brunswick, Canada to the East, and is the largest employer in the area.

• This provider will be joining one other OBGYN and a locum OBGYN that provides coverage relief
• Four day work week, either Monday or Friday off
• The office visits are approximately 16 patients daily for each provider, seeing approximately 3,300 patients annually
• Each provider has one morning a week set aside in the OR for scheduled surgical procedures. Procedures done in the office are Ultra Sounds, LEEP procedures and colposcopies, IUD insertions, Nexplanon insertions, endometrial biopsies and pessary insertions. Combined OR procedures for both current providers average approximately 100 to 125 annually.
  
• Hospital has approximately 120 births annually. Of the 120 births this past year it had about 25 C-Sections. About half of that number are new C-Sections with the other half being repeat sections.

Located on the section of the border that runs vertically between the United States and Canada, Houlton is in Maine s Aroostook County and is set among some of the state and country s most rural, scenic, and rugged landscapes. It s also known for its variety of annual fairs and festivals that draw people from all over the region, and its border location makes day-trips into Canada easy as well. In May, join a hoard of other beer lovers in welcoming spring and a bunch of new brews at the annual Black Fly Brewfest. Over the 4th of July weekend each year, you can enjoy the Houlton Agricultural Fair, featuring concerts, amusement park rides and agricultural attractions.

Want some fun on the water? Stop by in the spring for the annual Meduxnekeag River Canoe Race. It s run each spring for more than 35 years and draws paddlers to a 9.5 miles stretch of the river, ending at a park downtown.
