Job Summary

Responsible for delivering an enterprise class NetApp software product. Software Engineer assists in the feature design, definition, development, and test for NetApp Software Defined Storage solutions. This position is within the core product development team for Software defined cloud storage solutions, the Engineer will work on both GKE and AKS platforms in partnership with Google and Microsoft. Collaborates with senior engineers, partner teams, SREs, Product Managers to ensure that internal and external needs are met.
 

Job Requirements

 

  • Experience in software design and development, and a strong understanding of complex concepts related to systems architecture, data structures and programming practices.
  • Kubernetes knowledge is a must have and prefer experience in microservices / containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience working with any of the public Cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Strong programming skills in Go Preferred.  Python or other programming languages (C++, C) will be considered.
  • Strong collaboration and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Ability to lead feature development independently.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Experience in Networking and Storage domains especially in the Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Experience in technical leadership leading feature design & development, mentoring junior engineers and has a successful track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Experience in working with stakeholders at all levels from junior engineers in the team to executive management.
     
Education

IC - Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.Mgr & Exec - Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience.

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $153,450- $215,270. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law.  In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
