About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team. This position is initially a floater role with the potential to transition to an Assistant Teacher position. The role is designed to support our preschool and prekindergarten staff by covering recess, assisting with classroom projects, and providing necessary breaks. This is a vital position ensuring continuity and quality of care and education during a teacher's maternity leave.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support across various preschool and prekindergarten classrooms.
- Assist with the supervision and safety of children during outdoor play and classroom activities.
- Engage with children in educational and creative activities.
- Maintain a positive and flexible approach to changes in daily schedules.
- Help implement effective behavior management techniques to foster a conducive learning environment.
- Provide a warm, safe, and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience working in a preschool or prekindergarten classroom environment.
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices and techniques.
- Strong behavior management skills.
- Positive attitude and flexibility in adapting to changing conditions.
- Love and passion for working with young children.
- Availability to work from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
