Job Description: We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Class E Driver / Yard Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting lumber materials to various locations while also assisting in yard operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class E vehicles to transport lumber and related materials to designated locations.
- Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the lumber yard, including stacking lumber, sorting materials, and keeping the work area clean and orderly.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and prioritize work assignments.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class E driver''s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other yard equipment preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
