Patient Registrar

One of our healthcare clients is seeking a Patient Registrar to work in their offices throughout Hartford County. Our highly visible Patient Registrars are responsible for greeting and checking in patients, collecting co-pays and patient balances, obtaining insurance information and referrals, and updating patient demographics in our fast pace office.

Responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to:

• Registering patients, including gathering and updating demographic and insurance information
• Collecting co-pays and patient account balances
• Rooming patients
• Obtaining referrals
• Assisting patients with health histories
• Assisting Medical Secretaries with phones, patient sessions, and other functions in support of patient care

Desired Skills and Experience:

• High School diploma plus a minimum of two years' experience in a medical office with patient registration
• Knowledge of medical insurances
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent computer skills, including Epic EMR software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Additional Details:

• This is a fully on-site position that requires travel to offices throughout Hartford County (schedules are sent out two weeks in advance)
• 40 hours/ week- Monday- Friday, (Start time will vary, some mornings may start as early as 6:45am)
