School Social Worker Position Now Available

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced social worker for a full-time contract position in Arcadia, LA. The ideal candidate will meet all requirements set by local and state regulations and have a strong background in working with special education students and families. This position offers the opportunity for renewal based on performance while on contract.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling services to students, individually or in groups, as part of the school's support team.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in School Social Work
• State licensure as a social worker
• Experience working with special education students and families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
