Seeking a Legal Assistant for a family law firm in Altamonte Springs, FL!

This position is responsible for greeting clients and assisting the Attorneys, Paralegals, and
Firm Administrator with all support aspects of running the firm.

Education/Work Experience:
Two years of experience in the legal field, with at least one year of family law
experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
In this position you will be expected to:
Prepare and file legal documents; assist with saving, redacting, indexing and analyzing
discovery as necessary.
Communicate well with staff and clients.
Schedule and prepare all intake level letters and emails for consultations, client meetings, mediations, hearings, etc. and set these in our client management software.
Answers all incoming calls; enter the information into our case management database
Smokeball; screen calls and obtain information about the callers; smoothly operate
multiple lines; take messages, check voicemail and return calls as appropriate.
Create files for new clients for paralegal assigned.
Manage attorney’s calendars, tracking and acknowledgment of important dates and
events; confirm appointments with Clients; schedule initial appointments for potential
clients, in addition, be responsible for reminding Attorneys of upcoming appointments
throughout the day.
Type/scan/file/transcribe correspondence, contracts and other documents for
Attorneys/Paralegals.
Identify and set up conference room with needed equipment and supplies for office
meetings, mediations, client meetings, presentations, etc.; Assist with setup and clean-up of conference rooms after team meetings, mediations and luncheons and keep lobby neat
Arrange meetings with clients and other parties.
Document preparation, including, but not limited to preparing notebooks and binders for hearings, attorney events and organizations; Scanning and copying documents as needed; prepare bankruptcy and family law intake packets for clients; distribute items on printer to appropriate person.
Running Errands, including but not limited to bank runs, courthouse runs, copy center,
post office, lunch runs, etc.
Greet clients and provide care for them, including but not limited to stocking the coffee
area in reception, getting clients beverages, and cleaning up after them.

This role is direct hire
In office, Altamonte Springs, FL
Monday- Fri 8:45am-5:00pm
Eligible for Benefits after 90 days.
2 weeks PTO and paid holidays.
IRA Match.
Pay: $50-55k annually
