Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Construction Engineering Technician (CET) for Naval Shipyard with substantial experience in construction inspection and safety regulations enforcement.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of foreman experience as an inspector on commercial/industrial/military projects. Residential experience does not qualify.
Experience performing inspections of trades including electrical, concrete, plumbing (NEC), mechanical, HVAC, structural, civil/site work for new building/facilities construction and renovating existing buildings.
Demonstrated knowledge of NEC and other building codes as appropriate.
Reporting experience: Ability to write reports and conduct briefings.
Knowledge of 3 Phases of Construction.
Safety knowledge and ability to enforce EM 385 -1-

OSHA training (30)
Corps of Engineers CQM for Contractors certificate
Experience in reviewing submittals related to project completion and quality assurance.
Preferred Skills:
Safety Certificates (ladders, electrical, cranes, lockout-tagout, etc.)
4-year degree in architecture, site/civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or construction management QA
Job Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on various trades during new building/facilities construction and renovation projects
Enforce safety regulations and protocols based on EM 385 -1-1
Review project submittals related to completion and quality assurance
Write reports and conduct briefings related to inspections performed.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
