SYSTEM REPAIR TECHNICIAN B
Ashland, PA (union position)
Full-time- 2nd Shift - M-F 3pm to 11pm
$24.83/hour with Benefits - Medical, HRA, Dental, Vision, Basic Life, Voluntary Life AD&D, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Accident / Hospital Indemnity, 401k with employer match, EAP, Vacation Time, 10 paid holidays .
DESCRIPTION:
Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of plant electrical/electronic systems including related pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulics/sonic, chemical, and optical components/and other plant and office equipment of a complex nature.
This would include mechanical assembly and disassembly, repair, brazing, welding, burning, machining, etc.
Perform miscellaneous duties as required with infrequent supervision.
COMPLEXITY AND JUDGMENT:
Work covered generally by broad instructions and involves frequently changing conditions and problems, requiring judgment in applying background, and principles in developing the approach and solution of problems.
EDUCATION:
Work from complicated drawings, data, manuals, and handbooks. Use a wide range of electrical testing equipment. Through knowledge of electronic components of digital or analog circuitry also hydraulic systems and machine tool principles necessary. Equivalent to formal training of 1-2 years technical college training or 2 years' service-connected schools.
EXPERIENCE:
Two to four years to become familiar with equipment and techniques.
Initiative necessary to perform duties of come complexity. Refer unusual problems to superior.
Generally physical demand is not above normal. May encounter short periods of heavy lifting or climbing.
Exposed to shop atmosphere, but not continuous.
