Special Education Teacher

ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of specialized therapy services, is actively seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a dynamic team in Modesto, CA

Position Overview:

A Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. This is a direct hire role and would be Full-Time.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching accordingly.
• Manage student behavior and develop intervention plans.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists.
• Communicate regularly with parents and provide support.
• Engage in professional development.
• Advocate for students' rights and needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.

Qualifications:

• Obtain a bachelor's degree, preferably in education or a related field.
• Complete a teacher preparation program and obtain a teaching credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), with a focus on special education.
• Demonstrate subject matter competence, often by passing the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) in special education.
• Clear your credential through a period of induction or a new teacher program.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain your credential.
