Job Summary

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the management of one or multiple moderately complex projects concurrently; plans and performs analysis of company functions, processes, and activities

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage a large IT modernization project. This position will be full-time and onsite.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate across several groups and provide recommendations and direction to a large and diverse project team in the final phase of the modernization project

  • Responsible for the achievement of project goals, work plans, timelines, and results driven strategies

  • Responsible for identifying critical path decision-making issues, coordinating amongst key stakeholders, contributing to a culture of focused team engagement and support in prioritizing and pushing toward the ultimate objective, a Go-Live event, and providing critical post go-live customer support

  • Required to sustain stakeholder and/or community support, feedback and communication with project team members, and project partners and summarize and escalate to leaders for decision making on critical issues

  • Updating, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of Feature Delivery/Testing/Acceptance/Migration Tracking and Issue/Bug-Fix Status & Resolution Tracker

  • Engage with technical staff to gather, document, centralize and communicate to project staff, leadership and other stakeholders & customers

  • Triage & Attend Progress Update Meetings

  • Develop Customer Communications, Quarterly Newsletter etc.

  • Development of a cohesive documentation framework for knowledge transfer

  • Coordinate Technical Documentation Development

  • Develop Training Documentation / User Manual Development based on training videos


What You'll Need

Required:

  • 5 years IT System Development Project Management experience

  • 5 years experience coordinating large IT system modernization projects

  • 8 years project management experience driving clear action steps that achieve results across multi-functional project teams

  • 5 years experience preparing and presenting oral presentations to groups, briefing leadership and stakeholders

  • 5 years project management experience managing a high volume of details from a multi-functional team and summarizing for efficiency and effectiveness

  • 8 years project management experience monitoring, tracking and communicating the status of critical information for decision making and follow up

  • Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal) required as this role will interface with team members of all levels across the agency

  • Technical knowledge and experience with development tools/technology like: SQL, SSRS, API's, DevOps, Git Version Control, Angular/Web UI-nice to have

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
