CNC Machine Operator - Millwork

Opportunity

New England Caseworks specializes in commercial casework and millwork solutions, built by experienced craftsmen to meet the needs of the Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial and Laboratory markets.

Role

New England Caseworks is looking for a skilled CNC Operator/Programmer to operate a Weeke CNC machine.  You will be primarily responsible for producing machined parts by setting up, and operating a CNC machine.  This will include maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies. Knowledge of commercial cabinet construction, with previous bench experience with casework/millwork is desired. This is a full-time, hourly position with standard hours 7am to 3:30pm M-F reporting to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery so that the work is performed at the highest level of efficiency, quality and meeting all deadlines.

• Load CNC by lifting stock into proper position.

• Must have experience with pulling up programs and making dimensional changes.

• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

• Ensure that the equipment is maintained in an excellent working condition
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting to determine required parts and/or service.

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• Follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties and roles as requested by supervisor

Requirements

• 5+ years in millwork/cabinet shop, with at least 2+ years with CNC machine experience
• Strong understanding of cabinet manufacturing and design
• Knowledge of WoodWop software or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
• Understand and perform basic math calculation, measurements, and geometry
• Team Player, ability to perform other roles and job-related duties
• Detail oriented, dependable
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper lifting techniques

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Employment is contingent on a clean background and drug screen
