Server Assistant

Job Title: Server Assistant

Reports to: Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager, Club House Manager

Supervises: No supervisory duties

Essential Functions:

• Report to work and clock in/out for scheduled shifts on time in complete and proper uniform
• Maintain personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring bread and butter to the table (ice water on guest request/server notification)
• Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
• Crumb every table after entrees are cleared and between courses as needed
• Clear tables after guests. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware etc., in appropriate areas for washing
• Remain on the floor at all times and in assigned station when not assisting servers in kitchen
• Promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths between seating. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletops
• Respond appropriately and politely to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to servers as needed
• Communicate with server and captain to assure efficient seating, table utilization and member service
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
• Thank guests as they are leaving
• Keep all work areas clean and properly stocked according to the current meal periods.
• Must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees
• Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side work
• Maintain a neat and clean work area and/or in liquor rooms and behind bars (bar-back)
• Follow all company policies, systems, controls and procedures
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty

• Frequent lifting 20-30 lbs.
• Independent mobility through clubhouse.
