Home Care Caregiver

Job Summary:
Proactive Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. As a Home Care Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing individualized assistance and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. This is a full-time/part-time, individual contributor role within our healthcare/medical team.

Compensation & Benefits:
• Competitive salary of $15 to $17 per hour

Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate and personalized care to clients in their homes, following their individual care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, toileting and dressing
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings

• Monitor clients' health status and promptly report any changes to medical professionals.
• Create and maintain a positive and safe environment for clients.
• Perform activities that engage the entire body, promoting overall well-being.
• Handle and transfer objects and individuals with care and proficiency.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks responsibly, ensuring the safe transfer of patients.
• Demonstrate keen observation skills to recognize changes in clients' conditions.
• Establish and maintain harmonious relations with clients, their families, and co-workers.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
