The Sanitation Specialist role is the hands-on leader of training experiences with associates across the bakery.   This role is critical to the successful skill development needs of our people, in areas including People & Food Safety and Job Skills such as operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and working together as a team of people committed to bakery success. A day in the life of the Training Coordinator includes a variety of activities including – coordinating training schedules, updating training trackers and technology tools, and of course – training people!  In the bakery, training is an active part of how people learn new skills, grow their capabilities, and become ready to move into other jobs in their careers. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver a high-quality & effective associate training & orientation experience
  • Partner with hourly associates to effectively show the 7 Steps of the Sanitation Process
  • Partner with people managers to coordinate sanitation New Hire Orientation
  • Ensure all training materials and tools are up to date, and ready for use
  • Track associate skills development, training attendance, and program outcomes
  • Monitor associate application of training to job performance and discuss gaps and solutions with people managers
  • Working with the facility trainer, ensure training is complete for all employees, new hires, and temporary workers.
  • Quick learner of new technologies, and can teach others to navigate tools
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and builds buy-in
  • An engaging and effective trainer
  • Ability to self-manage work progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions to completion 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Sound decision-making and resourceful

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of High School Diploma; or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in training associates in safety, sanitation, and/or job skills
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in training associates on complete sanitation processes
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is desired
