Kitchen/Classroom Float: This position is full time, part-year, working 30 hours a week. Monday - Friday, 7:45 AM - 1:45 PM and . The hourly wage range is $15.16 to $16.25, depending on education and experience.

The Classroom/Kitchen Float is a dynamic role responsible for supporting both the Lead Cook in the kitchen (60%) and Teachers in the classroom (40%). 

• Know and follow the requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
• Maintain a safe work environment and consistently practice all Health and Safety procedures; assist with all tracking requirements and documentation.
• Assist with meal preparation and delivery of carts to the classrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Complete and maintain Food Handlers certification. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire, (if not already certified) as soon as training is available.
• Do dishes and kitchen cleanup, maintaining a safe and clean work area.
• Support regular kitchen inspections performed internally by the Health and Safety Director and externally by Public Health and CACFP, both announced and unannounced.
• Provide breaks to teachers/aides on a rotation schedule. 
• Know and implement the activities and requirements of the Child Health & Development Area Plan, and take direction in all facets of the daily program.
• When required, will step in to support classroom instruction as directed by the supervisor. 
• Discuss assigned teaching areas with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: The minimum requirement for the position is a high school diploma or GED certificate. Current Child Development Associates (CDA) credential is preferred.  Criminal Background Check required for hire
