Waggoner Engineering is hiring an Project Manager in Oxford, MS!

The Project Manager position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure effectiveness within their assigned geographic area while ensuring the development, implementation and coordination of projects, plans and programs, and the formulation and regulatory compliance of related policies and procedures; subject to approval by the Vice President.

Core Responsibilities:
The Project Manager brings a strong project management competency level with experience to support effective completion of all projects within their assigned geographic area.
 
The Project Manager brings an advanced level of business acumen in working with clients and interfacing with clientele on a regular basis representing our brand with integrity and multidisciplinary expertise.
 
The Project Manager will actively lead and drive growth of business development opportunities for Waggoner Engineering.
 
The Project Manager will identify, train, and develop leaders within the company and set them on the path for management.
 
The Project Manager will maintain a work knowledge of all phase of operations within their assigned geographic area, coordinate to support operations throughout the business, and provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team.
 
The Project Manager will create and implement a strategic one-page plan to help track Waggoner and Trilon company KPIs.
 
The Project Manager will work closely with Human Resources and the Senior Leadership team to define and implement operations, strategy, structure, and processes.
 
The Project Manager will be ultimately responsible for all project budgets, monitoring, and controlling costs.
 
The Project Manager will support the Vice President with financial reporting responsibilities and performance monitoring to identify efficiency issues and propose solutions proactively.
 
The Project Manager will guide, direct, and evaluate the work of all Project Managers within their assigned geographic area.
 
The Project Manager will monitor cash flow of their assigned geographic area and work with Project Accountants and Project Managers to ensure timely payment from clients.

1. Provide day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.

2. Responsible for driving the Project Managers in their assigned geographic area to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.

3. Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the assigned geographic area.

4. Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.

5. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth and profitability objectives of our organization.

6. Motivate, mentor and lead a high-performance team; assist with the recruitment and retention of staff; provide mentoring and training to project managers as a cornerstone to the career development program.

7. Fosters an environment of team work and collaboration.

8. Participates in regularly scheduled operations meeting with Vice President to discuss operating performance, resource sharing and leveling, and process improvement.

9. Participate in business planning process of company.

10. Participate in other assignments and committees assigned by Vice President from time to time.

11. Act as lead client account manager and project manager for high profile clients and large projects within their assigned geographic area.

12. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment.

13. Represent the firm with clients, and business partners.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • At least ten years of strong operating management experience in consulting engineering environment
  • Master’s degree in business or related field.
  • At least five years in a senior management role.
  • Certification as professional engineer or related field
