Brase Drilling LLC was established in 2014 in Rugby, ND. We offer well drilling, geothermal drilling, and water pumps. Emergency services are available 24/7. Services we provide include: Geothermal Drilling, Pump System Installation, Shallow Wells, Deep Wells, Well Drilling, Trenching Services, Irrigation Wells, After-Hours Service Calls, Solar Pumps. Brands we use: Franklin Pumps, Grundfos, Goulds, Merrill, Baker, Geo – Enertech, Tetco, Water Furnace.

Job Summary

A water well driller will drill water wells, install water well pumps and motors. This individual will operate equipment as needed for the project. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions. The work can be physically demanding.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

  • Advanced knowledge about drilling water wells in all types of soil and weather conditions.
  • Drill water wells, install water well pumps and motors including basic electrical work.
  • Working knowledge of water well drilling equipment operation.
  • Operate other equipment as needed for job.
  • Experience with Top-Drive Drills preferred.
  • Monitor the performance of equipment and document.
  • Fill out equipment inspection sheets and hand in weekly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Complete all required paperwork/daily reports and work orders in timely manner.
  • Willing to work demanding hours when needed.
  • Need to be able to fully manage a project: Supervise a crew, Safety, stay within budget, Stay on schedule, oversee equipment and material.)
  • Serve as the single point of contact for crews, inspectors, GC’s, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver License.
  • CDL (or the ability to obtain.) CDL A preferred. CDL B minimum. (Employer is willing to assist with the cost of acquiring a CDL.)
  • ND Water Well Driller’s License (or the ability to obtain.)
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in the Water Well Drilling industry is preferred.
  • Prefer experience with top-drive drills, mud pumps, forward mud rotary rig, mud shaker, mud cleaning system.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. routinely throughout the day. Occasionally lift 100 lbs.
  • Must be willing to relocate to North Dakota. (Employer is willing to assist with relocation expenses.)
  • Must be willing to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check (credit and criminal background checks.)

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor and in-shop work. Occasional extreme cold or hot temperatures.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. routinely throughout the day. Occasionally lift 100 lbs.
  • PPE provided. Gloves, shirts, safety glasses, etc. (not boots.)
  • Most often, work schedule is Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends (depending on the job.)
  • 40 – 60 hours per week.
  • Some out of town travel is required.
  • Occasional schedule of 7 days on 7 days off when working out of town. (Per diem and hotel are provided.)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $35 - $42 per hour plus overtime, depending on experience. ($93,275 - $111,930 per year.)
  • Quarterly Performance Bonus based upon productivity and profitability.
