POSITION TITLE: Marketing Coordinator

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

STATUS: FULL TIME

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Marketing Director and is responsible for providing leadership and support to the Marketing staff. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the practical administration duties for the Casino and performs Marketing responsibilities. All assignments are to be performed within The Stables Casino System of Internal Controls (SICS). The Marketing Coordinator will ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal/state/tribal regulatory requirements.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports administrative needs of the Marketing Director.
  • Assists with the creation, organization, and operation of Marketing functions, including promotions, entertainment, and VIP events.
  • Keep records of promotional paperwork, invoices, and promotional spreadsheets.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-market support.
  • This position requires systematic, organized marketing techniques and excellent customer service skills to increase the amount of business we need to meet the expectations of The Stables Casino.
  • Creating and implementing customized events that will assist in bringing business to The Stables Casino is required.
  • Creativity is a must for this position.
  • Requires excellent time management skills.
  • May correspond with players via multiple venues, including mail, e-mail, and phone calls with new guests as needed.
  • Represent The Stables Casino at special events.
  • The work schedule must be flexible and adjustable to meet the needs of potential guests.
  • Organizes and participates in off-property functions, such as lunches, festivals, golf tournaments, etc. Travel is a requirement of this position.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all promotions, events, and general property information.
  • Stays informed of competitive promotional methods.
  • Maintains a courteous, efficient, helpful, and professional manner with all internal and external customers.
  • Communicates information and feedback on customer experience to the Marketing Director.
  • Acts as a resource to casino guests and employees by maintaining a working knowledge of the facility and special events.
  • Generates excitement and provides personal attention to customers.
  • Participate as a team member with fellow employees in producing a smooth efficient operation that meets the highest standards of customer service.
  • Adhere to the strict confidentiality of all information.
  • Train Players Club Representatives
  • Keeping up will all supplies needs/ replenishing when needed, emptying players club cards correctly.
  • Promotions- will be required to work The Stables Promotions as assigned.
  • Assist Marketing Manager/Players Club Supervisor with designated tasks.
  • Employee scheduling, coaching/disciplinary actions

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs all duties in accordance with casino System of Internal Controls (SICs)
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed, and directed.
  • Shift fill ins due to call outs, whether this be calling employees in or filling in yourself
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company SICS.
  • Attend all necessary meetings and assist in other projects, as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have one (1) to two (2) years related experience or training.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License
  • May be subject to criminal background investigation.
  • Proficient data entry skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Microsoft programs
  • Must possess high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours/days according to business needs.
  • Ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.
