THE TUTORING CENTER in Allen, TX is seeking an Instructor to assist the Center Director in supervising classroom operations, strategizing a plan to ensure that each student's goal is met, and training staff to follow our system. We help school-age children in kindergarten through high school master their academic skills in math, reading, and writing. The ideal candidate must be energetic and passionate about tutoring children and pursuing excellence in integrity, quality, enthusiasm, service, and teamwork. Being a great communicator with positive attitude is a must in our fun, caring, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Tutor school-aged students in math, reading, and writing
• Supervise classroom operational procedures and staffing schedules
• Maintain student records
• Analyze student progress and recommend appropriate instructional strategies
• Prepare student progress reports and communicate results to parents and teachers
• Assess and enroll new students
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field
• Completion of The Tutoring Center’s training program
• Availability: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 – 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday as needed
• Positive attitude and great interpersonal and communication skills
• “Well-rounded” personality with strong commitment to integrity, quality, enthusiasm, exceptional service, and teamwork
• Proficient computer skills using a database application, a spreadsheet, scanning software, and iWork (preferred but not required)
• Excellent communication, leadership, time management, multi tasking, and motivational skills
• Tutoring, teaching, and/or admin experience a plus
