We are looking for passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors for our 2024 Summer Day Camp Program at Northville Elementary in Northville, NY. As a Camp Counselor, you'll lead campers on a journey of fun, friendship, and adventure.


HOURS:

July 8th-Aug 9th: 12pm-4pm M-W, 9am-4pm Fr

Aug 12th-Aug 23: M-F 9am-4pm

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

PAY: $15.00/hour


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Activity Extraordinaire:

  • Assist with hands-on activities and exploration!
  • Get creative with games, challenges, and scavenger hunts that keep kids on their toes.

Friendship Architect:

  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment where campers feel like they belong.
  • Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and lots of high-fives!

Master of Fun & Games:

  • Organize epic camp-wide events like talent shows, themed parties, and crazy costume contests.
  • Show off your arts and crafts skills with DIY projects and creative workshops.

Safety Superhero:

  • Keep a watchful eye on campers to ensure their safety during all activities.
  • Be prepared to handle any bumps, bruises, or bug bites with a smile and a band-aid.

Camp Enthusiast:

  • Lead by example with enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude.

Additionally, you will:

  • Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Brightwheel App.
  • Observe OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

You're 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.

While having 1 year of experience working with kiddos under 13 is awesome, it's not a must-have. We believe in potential and passion!

Get ready to ace a background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.

You've got the green light from your doctor - medically fit to rock all the job duties and free of any communicable diseases including TB.

You’re warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills are your jam, whether it's with kiddos, parents, or fellow team members. Plus, you're professional, reliable, and always prompt.

You're ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and basically do whatever it takes to keep up with kids!
