Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as an Electrician. Hands-on experience with motor control circuits, motor starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related electrical components.

 

Job Description

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and programming VFDs and motor control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.

Safety Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash safety.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate electrical hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in motor control systems efficiently.
  • Experience conducting root cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

 

Skills Required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in motor control systems maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in industrial or manufacturing

Hands-on Skills:

  • Skilled in performing hands-on tasks such as wiring, terminations, and component replacement in motor control panels and enclosures.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Teamwork and Communication:

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors.

Adaptability:

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment advancements in the field of motor control.

Documentation Skills:

  • Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and parts inventory.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking.

Continuous Learning:

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in motor control systems.

 

Education/Certification/Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical education or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field preferred.
