Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA); Yuma, AZ

Our client, a large hospital in Yuma, AZ, has a need for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. The CNRA will collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other professionals while overseeing the use of anesthesia in medical procedures. The CRNA coordinates and provides patient care from the point of taking vitals and charting information to providing anesthesia during surgery and other medical procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides pre-anesthetic preparation and patient evaluation.
• Ensures patient identification and obtains appropriate health history.
• Manage the patient's airway and respiratory status.
• Provides peri anesthetic invasive and non-invasive monitoring utilizing current standards and techniques.
• Prepare operating rooms, set up equipment, layout supplies, and prepare necessary gases.
• Perform regular patient visits and record findings in the patient records.
• Request and assess diagnostic tests.

Education & Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school/college of nursing with specific emphasis on anesthesia required.
• Completed AANA approved course in Anesthesia. MSN/DNP degree or equivalent required
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in State of Arizona (or able to obtain)
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
