Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for performing incoming and outgoing inspection of mechanical, electronic components, and fasteners to customer specifications, in accordance with the company’s ISO Quality system. This will be accomplished using standard inspection, measuring, and test equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Log entries of accepted and rejected material

· Ensures appropriate and timely escalation of quality issues, including issues of significant deviation with projects to QA Management and makes appropriate recommendations for correction and improvement

· Make phone calls to customers and vendors to discuss any discrepancy or nonconformance

· Locating prints or paperwork regarding customer specifications

  • Read and interpret drawings, procedures, standards and use precision measuring devices

· Clearly and concisely report all non-compliances against the specification and/or test procedures

  • Evaluate and approve documents according to the organization's standards and local regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

· Must maintain a positive attitude and proactively attend to issues and concerns

· Strong computer, document management skills and attention to details

· Ability to develop and foster positive, collaborative relationships with internal staff as well as with external, third-party vendors

· Must have professional phone manners

· Good planning/ organizational skills and techniques

· Excellent writing and communication skills

 

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance or related role
