We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Plant Sr. Accountant to join our great team! This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial management of our plant manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the financial planning, reporting, and controls in our plant operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and making strategic recommendations to senior management.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all plant-level responsibilities for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
3. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with GAAP.
4. Manage capital projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of expenses.
5. Maintain the integrity of the plant’s financial statements and ensure that internal controls are in place and effective.
6. Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers to the plant management team.
7. Work closely with the plant management team to identify cost-saving and profit-enhancing opportunities.
8. Oversee the inventory management process, including physical inventories.
9. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting trends and analyzing variances in cost and performance.
10. Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA or CMA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering or Manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Great Plains software.
5. Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, forecasting, inventory management, and capital projects.
6. Strong leadership skills with previous management experience.
7. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
