Shipping / Receiving - 2nd Shift $1500 Signing Bonus - Full-time

Avtec Finishing, a leader in the metal finishing industry, is looking for a Shipping / Receiving Clerk. Preference to someone with prior experience. This is a 2nd shift position, however, training will be done on 1st shift (approx 6 weeks).

Overview: Performs in-plant operations utilizing forklift such as loading and unloading trucks, moving raw and finished product to and from production areas, and places items in designated areas in the warehouse.

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• 1 year shipping & receiving experience (preferred)
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Good organizational skills and the ability to follow multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. This is a customer service position
• Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record
• Consistent, legible writing skills
• Basic typing and computer skills helpful
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
• Ability to lift and move 1-70 lbs. as needed
• Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a cooperative manner
• Ability to manage multiple jobs at the same time
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Locating, packaging, and shipping of finished goods to our customers. This includes attachment of all necessary documentation (certs, pack lists, labels, etc.).
• Receive work from customers for processing
• Receive product from our vendors and deliver to the appropriate department
• Station incoming work and document in warehouse for production
• Deliver scheduled orders to production floor. Pick up orders from production when complete and return to shipping department and prepare for shipment
• Load completed orders on trucks, ensuring all containers included on order are included
• Receive in customer product in a manner to ensure it has a safe and secure location and that order entry has correct paperwork or PO for all jobs to be entered.
• Maintain accurate and accessible records on incoming and outgoing product.
• Assist Department Manager in all aspects including coordinating UPS, delivery service and LTL shipments as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Schedule: 3p - 1a M-Th...However, training will be done 7a- 3:30p M-F for approx 6 weeks.

Pay: DOQ - $23.00 - $28.00 / hour

Signing Bonus: $1500 Signing Bonus (full details disclosed in offer letter) - not applicable to current employees
