Job Description

  • One position isfor ESY
  • One position is for NSY
  • Hours:8-4pm
  • 40 hours per week
  • The para would have two 15-minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch this year. The lunch may not be the same next year. He/she would have to cover one lunch or recess duty (30 minutes).
  • This position is to float between two resource rooms and the science classroom. The para would cover resource rooms when/if the teacher is at a meeting or out for the day and will be in the science classroom on days she/he is not needed in the resource room.
  • Having a sub license is a huge plus.

Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma
  • Certified in de-escalation training and physical restraint
  • Significant behavioral experience
  • Experience supporting high needs, aggressive behaviors, and medically fragile students
  • School experience
  • Able to provide 2 references during Pre-screen/Interview
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check

Interview Process

  • 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
  • 20-30 minute interview with district
  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview

As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
