As a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant, you will manage patients who have had neurosurgery for surgical management of tumors/cancer, vascular disease, spinal disease, and pathology specific to the pediatric population. The Neurosurgery PA is an integral part of the care team. This PA will have the opportunity to learn and develop a multitude of neurosurgery skills and procedures. In this role, you will work three 12.5 hour weekday shifts per week helping to cover the inpatient census for Neurosurgery at CUIMC. This provider will also be dedicated to covering the Lumbar Puncture consult service, prioritizing inpatient consults for lumbar punctures and performing them at the bedside with a high level of autonomy as an extension of the Neurosurgery team.  The dedicated LP team is committed to supporting the needs & experience of all our patients and their care teams with greater accessibility, communication, turnaround time and convenience while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.  

Preferred Criteria

• Experience working in neurosurgery or neurology

• Experience performing lumbar punctures

Required Criteria

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies

• Current NYS licensure
