Position Description

 

Job Title:          CIS Program Manager

Work Schedule:     37.5 hours week x 42 weeks (school year) and 24 hours week x 6 weeks (summer)

Reports to:       CIS Program Director                                                          

FSLA Status:      Non-Exempt

Primary Purpose

Provide coaching and day-to-day supervision to CIS Site Coordinators, staff, and volunteers for CIS programs and services including the CIS Model and extended-day afterschool and summer educational programs. Ensure delivery of quality aligns with CIS Model and in accordance with funding priorities. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in CIS programs meeting required benchmarks or equivalent youth programs
  • Experience in education, social services and at-risk populations
  • Experience working with children and adolescents and knowledge of trends and standards affecting CIS programs
  • Coaching and/or management experience preferred
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Experience and knowledge of CISDM database


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Director in ensuring that all program guidelines are met by program and grant partners.
  • Assist site coordinators on the implementation of the CIS Model of integrated student supports.
  • Participate in leadership team meetings.
  • Support Program Director in monitoring program activities on a regular basis and address areas of gaps and highlight effective practices.
  • Assist Program Director with staff onboarding.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with program staff and supporting agencies and services.
  • Attend conferences required for program evaluation and development.
  • Assist in identifying and supporting the professional development needs for continued learning throughout the program staff.
  • Conduct program staff meetings as needed.
  • Assist in selection of relevant materials and resources for program implementation.
  • Assist Site Coordinators in scheduling of program activities in collaboration with campus principals, program planning teams, program staff.
  • Regular site visits to school sites for check-in and support for Site Coordinators.
  • Support Program Director in the implementation of programming in new schools including providing coaching and support as needed during early stages of implementation.
  • Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical and responsible, and serve as a role model for all staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals, and governmental regulations. Ability to write and edit reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public, orally and in writing. Ability to speak effectively to guest, candidates or employees of the organization.


REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

   

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The position is located at the CIS Main Office with regular travel to school sites. Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality are required.

 

Other duties within the scope of the employee’s skills and abilities as assigned by the supervisor.

 

 

Salary and Benefits

$42,500 - $47,500 based on experience and skills.  Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate.  Flexible work schedule.  Personal and vacation accrual hours.  Medical, dental, and vision benefits per organizational benefit plans or cash in lieu of insurance.
