Local produce distributor in Portland offering second chance and re-entry employment opportunities is hiring Day and Night shift Order Selectors today! For over 80 years, this well-established company continues to grow their clientele and provide an array of grocery and produce items across the Portland metro area.
Overview
As the warehouse Order Selector, you will work in the cold storage produce dock under the guidance of a shift supervisor and manager. You will be provided 1-week of paid, on-site training. This is a Second Chance employment opportunity – no background checks needed, must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen that includes THC.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pull assigned client orders (large amounts of chilled produce)
- Ensure orders are properly loaded into the truck for same-day delivery
- Operate an electric pallet jack
- Meet daily order quotas
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Other duties/tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- 1+ year of recent Warehouse or Order Selecting experience
- Electric Pallet Jack experience
- RF scanner experience highly preferred
- Vocollect headset experience preferred
- Ability to work Overtime + Weekends
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, talk and use repetitive motion during job duties
- Upon offer, ability to pass pre-employment UA drugscreen including THC
Schedule: 8-10+ Hour Shifts, 5 Days/Week
- 8:00AM Day
- 11:00AM Mid
- 2:00PM Swing
- 6:00PM Graveyard
Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 Hourly + OT Pay
