Healthcare Staffing Professionals has immediate needs for Registered Nurses to work in a state hospital located in Coalinga, CA. The RN is responsible for coordinating and overseeing nursing activities and ensuring appropriate nursing staff coverage during the assigned shift and is responsible for performing routine nursing duties.
Work Location: Coalinga, CA
Orientation:
All orientation hours are compensation at the full compensation rate. Orientations will run during the AM shift and will be held Monday – Friday will include a combination of classroom and floor training. This process can take 3-4 weeks. Once orientation has been completed, candidates will be moved to their regular shift schedule.
*If a day of orientation is missed, candidates may be removed from the orientation schedule*
Compensation & Shift Schedule:
Shift time: TBD (Candidates will be asked to work 2 12-hour shifts and 2 8-hour shifts per week, for a total of 40 hours.)
Local Rate: $3,080 per week at $70.00 Per Hour working 2-12s and 2-8s.
Travel Rate: $3,151 per week total compensation broken down as follows:
$1892 per week working 32 hours at $43/hr. and 8 OT hours at $64.5/hr. Candidates will also get a weekly travel stipend of $1260. Candidates must reside 50 miles from the facility and provide proof of lodging.
Shifts Hours for Assignment 40 Hours Per Week:
6:45am-19:15pm. It will be two 12 hour shifts and two 8 hour shifts each week to get the full 40 hours per week.

Job Duties:
  • Ensure proper patient care.
  • Manage day to day operations of the suite.
  • Preparation and administration of medication
  • Control and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Manage the procurement of drug inventory for patient appointments.
  • Completes additional administrative paperwork to ensure care of patient in EMR system.
  • Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with facilities policies and procedures.
  • Provide licensed nursing care including administration of medications.
  • Provide nursing care to patients in room seclusion, restraints or who are on an enhanced observation for danger to self, others or another reason as ordered by Psychiatry and/or medical providers.
  • Review individual patients' progress and document.
  • Consult, as necessary, on unusual, complex or serious cases, and present such cases to appropriate clinical staff for advice.
  • Provide and maintain adequate medical documentation in patients' medical record.
  • attend and participate as an active member in staff meetings for the discussion of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 12-month experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Licensed to practice.
  • BLS certified.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
