Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking an experience Clerk for our Houston, Tx division. Looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team and provide essential support across various business functions. This role will primarily focus on payroll processing but will also involve assisting with a range of administrative and operational tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organized, and capable of handling diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

JOB SUMMARY

Performance of various accounting clerical tasks supporting the accounting business group primarily focused on payroll related tasks.

JOB DUTIES

  • Processes payroll accurately and timely as well as retro-active payments
  • Compiles and inputs employee time and payroll data. Reviews information for completeness and accuracy
  • Analyze payroll inquiries/issues and provide appropriate resolutions
  • Process weekly Certified Payroll (CPR)
  • Handle Subcontractor Certified Payroll
  • Handle reporting and all functions to meet our On the Job Training (OJT) goals.
  • Reception coverage as needed coordinated amongst large group
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Outlook / e-mail.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Intermediate experience with MS Word/Excel
  • Ability to navigate between multiple systems
  • Analytical skills. Ability to research and respond to inquiries
  • Strong customer service skills and attitude. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Providing a clear resolution to an inquiry while displaying empathy for the employee
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Construction payroll experiences a plus.
  • Experience with ViewPoint software a plus.
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
