POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Inventory and Demand Planner to join our team. The Senior Inventory and Demand Planner will play a critical role in managing inventory levels and forecasting demand across our various locations and facilities. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal inventory management and customer satisfaction.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute inventory management strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple locations and facilities.
  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer forecasts to accurately forecast demand for products at each location.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, supply chain and operations teams at each location to gather relevant data and insights for demand planning.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of demand planning processes and systems to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness to market changes.
  • Monitor inventory levels, sales trends, and customer demand at each location to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inventory to each location and manage inventory replenishment processes.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track inventory performance, forecast accuracy, and service levels at each location.
  • Lead inventory optimization initiatives including SKU rationalization, safety stock management, and inventory obsolescence management across multiple facilities.
  • Train and mentor inventory and demand planning teams at each location to ensure alignment with company objectives and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in inventory management and demand planning to continuously improve processes and systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain management roles within the consumer product industry.

Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing inventory management and demand planning strategies in a multi-location environment.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

Proficiency in demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
